Americana Float & Drawing Winners

For the third year, the Library entered a float in the Americana festival to promote our Summer Reading Club. The theme this year was “Read: Happily Ever After”. A castle, dragon, and fairy tale characters (Snow White, Princesses, Knights, Thing1 and Thing2) brought the float to life! Volunteers walked the parade route and distributed 1675 stickers to young readers to encourage them to read. Summer Reading Club doesn’t end until August 4 so you still have time to read, win fun prizes and attend fun events like our kids summer carnival scheduled for Monday, July 23.

Did you enter a ticket in the Friends of the Washington-Centerville Public Library Americana drawing? The winner of the candy jar was Vinnie W. and the winner of the stack of library books was Sharon Rislund. Thanks for stopping by the Friends booth! We’ll see you again next year!
