"A Tasting With Friends" Proves Fun and Festive

Thanks to the hard work of library staff and countless Friends volunteers, our first Tasting with Friends: Featuring Ohio Wines, Books and Brew, held last Thursday, was a great success!

Approximately 150 tickets were sold (and counting musicians and authors, more than 250 people attended over the course of the evening). More than $1,600 was raised for the
Friends of the Library. The authors were thrilled and many guests praised the event and recommended we do it again!

Thanks to all the
local authors, Barnes & Noble, Benham’s Grove, Cardinal Catering, JuneBug’s Cupcakes, Rue Dumaine, music by The Odyssey, Kosins and individuals who helped make the evening festive. From the good food, yummy desserts, lovely music and beautiful venue, we couldn’t have asked for much more for a first time event of this kind. Sarah Libbe won the Glow Nook courtesy of Barnes & Noble, and thanks to Richard Carr (Library Board of Trustees) and Bob Dodds, the two highest bidders in the poster auction, we raised an additional $100.

It was a fun and memorable evening, and the photos say it all!
