If you always wanted to walk the fields of heather or stroll down the streets of Glasgow, but haven’t had the time or the means, join us for A Day in Scotland at the Centerville Library on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 11 am until 2 pm and we will bring Brigadoon to you!There will be plenty for everyone to see and do as we host an exhibit featuring the history of the monarchy, information about clans and tartans, food samples, a kids’ tattoo station, mini-golf on the library’s own version of St. Andrews, piping, and much more! If it’s highland dancing you like, here is the schedule:
- 11:30 – Noon and 12:45 – 1:15 St. Andrew’s Highland Dancers
- Noon – 12:30 and 1:15 – 1:45 Flying Ghillies Country Dancers
This program is a collaboration between the library and the Centerville Arts Commission, the Centerville-Washington Diversity Council with assistance provided by the St. Andrew’s Society of Dayton and the Miami Valley Pipes and Drums.
