My kids love using the self-checkout station! My son loves scanning items. The staff at the library is always so helpful and cheerful. Thank you for making our library so great!

Lakewood's loss is an enormous gain for WCPL! Kim is an extraordinary human being! She embraced collaborative efforts between community groups and our library, always seeing the possibilities and asking 'why not?' and 'how can we make it happen?'

She will be sorely missed!

Today there was a rally at the WCPL library and I heard many comments from people on how advantage library services are and for so many reasons. And while budget cuts are necessary, why are the libraries having to shoulder such a disproportionate share? And what does the fact that some employees at WCPL are represented by a staff association have anything to do with budget cuts by the state? Concern about working conditions involve much more than salaries and benefits. I am proud to be an employee of WCPL and also a member of the staff association. I think the person that thinks the cuts are fine is not a library patron and needs to experience what WCPL and the many other Ohio libraries have to offer. Attend some board meetings, ask questions, and then maybe he can make suggestions on "cutting back" and "working conditions".
